| BITs - Introduction |
BITS Admission Test - BITSAT is a Computer Based Online Test for admission into I Semester of Integrated first degree programmes of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, is an all-India Institute for higher education specially engineering and allied sciences education in India. The institute is fully residential and awards its own degrees. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus and Goa campus is made on the basis of a Computer based Online Test conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). This test is also referred as BITS Admission test.

| Eligibility Criteria |
For admission to first degree programmes offered at BITS Pilani campus and Goa campus, a candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central / State board. Since the medium of instruction at BITS is English, candidates should have adequate proficiency in English. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
Candidates who are appearing for 12th class examination are also eligible to appear in the BITSAT.
Students who have passed the 12th class examination in a year prior to BITSAT examination may also apply for BITSAT, provided they explain the reasons for the gap. The admission committee will examine all such cases candidates before taking a final decision on the eligibility of such candidates. Students who have passed 12th class examination 2 year prior to BITSAT examination or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT
