T TestsWorld

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 18 May 2026

This policy explains what data TestsWorld collects, why, and what we do with it. We try to keep it short and human-readable. If anything is unclear, please ask us through the contact form.

Scope

This policy covers www.testsworld.com and any subdomain operated by us. It does not cover third-party sites linked from TestsWorld — those have their own policies.

What we collect

  • Account details: the name and email you supply when you register, and a one-way hash of your password (we never store plaintext passwords).
  • Exam attempts: which exam you took, your answers, your score, start and submit timestamps, and integrity-flag events (fullscreen exits, tab switches) recorded by the exam engine.
  • Contact-form submissions: name, email, subject, message, and the IP address / user-agent at the time of submission.
  • Newsletter subscription: if you opt in to the newsletter, your email and subscription date.
  • Technical data: standard request logs (IP, requested URL, user-agent, referrer) needed to operate, secure, and debug the site. Retained for a short period and used only for these purposes.
  • Cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. Both are first-party and essential to running the site.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: on register / login / forgot-password / contact forms we use Cloudflare's privacy-preserving bot-challenge. It does not use tracking cookies.

What we don't collect

We don't collect webcam footage, screen recordings, browsing history outside our site, or biometric data. The exam-hall integrity layer records only fullscreen-exit and tab-switch events that happen on our own pages — it does not inspect anything else on your device.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to understand which pages are popular, where readers come from, and how the site performs. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes a limited set of data (IP-derived approximate location, page URL, referrer, user-agent, session identifiers). IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage where supported. We have not enabled Google Signals / cross-device identity, and we do not share Analytics data with any third party for advertising. You can opt out site-wide with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

TestsWorld is supported by advertising. We display ads from Google AdSense / Ad Manager and from other third-party ad networks and direct advertisers. These partners and their downstream ad-tech vendors may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to:

  • Show ads relevant to your interests (interest-based / personalised advertising).
  • Measure how often ads are seen and clicked.
  • Limit how many times you see the same ad ("frequency capping").
  • Detect invalid clicks and ad fraud.

Personalised ads are governed by Google's Advertising policy and the individual policies of the networks that win each impression. You can manage personalised ads from Google at adssettings.google.com, and from a broader range of vendors at youradchoices.com (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK). Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent prompt for personalised advertising and analytics where required by local law.

We do not knowingly share your account details (name, email, attempt history) with advertising partners. The data shared with them is the standard request context the browser itself transmits (IP, user-agent, referrer, ad-tech cookies) plus the page you are viewing.

Newsletter and email

If you opt in to our newsletter, we will send you periodic updates about new practice papers, exam-objective refreshes, and study tips. Every newsletter email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is honoured immediately and does not affect your account or transcript.

Transactional email — sign-up confirmation, password reset, contact-form replies — is sent regardless of newsletter status because it is required to operate your account. We use a reputable third-party email-sending service to deliver both transactional and newsletter mail; that service processes only the address being mailed to and the message content.

How we use your data

  • Authenticate you and keep your attempt history together with your account.
  • Grade your attempts and show you your transcript.
  • Reply to your contact-form messages.
  • Send newsletter mail if you opted in, and transactional mail you triggered.
  • Measure aggregate site usage (Analytics) and serve ads (see above).
  • Investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small set of well-known service providers to deliver TestsWorld:

  • Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and Turnstile bot-challenge.
  • Google — Analytics, AdSense / Ad Manager, fonts.
  • A third-party email-delivery service for transactional and newsletter mail.
  • Other display-ad networks that may win impressions through our ad stack.

Each of these has its own privacy policy. We have selected providers we believe handle data responsibly, but we cannot control their practices in detail.

Retention

  • Account + attempts: kept until you delete your account.
  • Contact-form submissions: kept for up to 2 years for follow-up reference.
  • Newsletter subscription: kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Request logs: rotated out after a short retention window.
  • Backups: rotated out on a rolling schedule.

Your rights

You can edit your name and email anytime under Edit profile. You can permanently delete your account from the same page; that removes your attempt history with it. For data-access, correction, deletion, or any other privacy request, write to us via the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

TestsWorld is intended for users aged 16 and over preparing for professional or academic certifications. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and post a notice on the home page for at least 14 days.
